Shropshire is
often described as a hidden gem and offers a wide variety of pursuits
and interests.
Walkers and cyclists are well served with a variety of named routes such
as The Shropshire Way, Offa's Dyke, the Kerry Ridgeway and Wild Edric's
Way.
More recently the county has become famous for its gastronomic excellence,
with
Ludlow boasting more Michelin
starred restaurants than anywhere other than London.
Always famous for its beautiful countryside you can also
enjoy a round of golf, go riding or experience some of the best river
fishing in the
country on the magnificent Severn. Gliding and hang-gliding are visible
on the Long Mynd.
For the historian amongst you both
Shrewsbury and
Ludlow are
steeped in history and the pretty Victorian spa town of
Church
Stretton lies just to the west of
Clun.
Telford, the birthplace of industry, is just short ride away.
